GV DRUM SCRUBBER (GVDS)

Ideal for removal of odorous gases found at pump stations

GVDS-Product Overview

The GV Drum Scrubber (GVDS) is an odor control system designed to remove odorous gases from wastewater collection and treatment facilities. It is suitable for applications such as pump stations, lift stations, wet wells, force mains and wastewater treatment plants. The GVDS product range is available in different airflow capacities to suit varying application requirements.

Available Airflow Models

Model Rated Airflow Capacity
GVDS-300 Up to 300 CFM
GVDS-500 Up to 500 CFM
GVDS-1000 Up to 1,000 CFM

The GVDS uses layered odor-treatment media to provide broad-spectrum removal of sewage odors and target gases, including hydrogen sulphide (H₂S), ammonia and mercaptans. Media performance and service life depend on the inlet gas composition, concentration, humidity, airflow and operating conditions. The media should be inspected periodically and replaced when exhausted to help prevent odor breakthrough.

The GVDS system is supplied with a blower assembly designed for the required airflow and operating conditions. The blower assembly is constructed using corrosion-resistant materials and is provided with an industrial-duty motor. Blower selection and motor specifications are based on the selected model and project requirements.

A differential pressure gauge or switch is provided to monitor the pressure drop across the media bed. This helps the operator assess system operating conditions and identify when inspection or maintenance may be required.

Control Panel

A control panel is provided for the operation and control of the odor control unit. Terminals can be provided for remote monitoring of the unit, where required. Electrical supply and control specifications are to be confirmed in accordance with the project requirements.
